Albums That Im Hype For
Kid Cudi’s Indicud- His first 3 albums (Man on the Moon: End of the Day, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager & WZRD) were fucking great! In my opinion The Legend of Mr. Rager is his greatest album so far. WZRD was a breathe of fresh air and at first when i found out that it was going to be a rock album i was a little on the fence about it but once i heard the whole thing i fell in love. As a fan of music in general i love how he doesn’t always use lyrics to make his songs great but instead just uses melodies and instruments like rock songs. You don’t always need lyrics to touch people, thats what the music is there for.
Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.a.a.d. city- Personally i am a kendrick lamar fan. The first time i heard him spit was in one of those promos for the xxl freshman list and i knew he was gonna go somewhere. He has arguably one of the sickest & hottest flows in the game right now. And his lyrical content is phenomenal and versatile at best. His mixtape Section.80 is one of my favorite mix tapes of all time i can listen to it back to back no problem. I recently read that his new album won’t be like Section.80 at all but i have a feeling he’s going to set the bar for a lot of rappers and would most likely want to step up their lyrics for damn sure.
No tattoos for me music and comics is all i need
i dont want any tattoos, to me their overrated. im not hating on em i just dont wanna get tattoos and look like all these other cats. i used to always want a tattoo either on my chest, forearm or side, but now i can careless. i respect artists like drake and big sean for not having any tattoos, this nigga big sean performs with no shirt hes fine with his body, and wayne even told drake not to have any tattoos so um yea no tattoos for me lol
You Dont Really Want It Boo!
A lil something i wrote a while back, i actually dont like this one too much but i guess you all determine if its worth reading or w.e loll
I keep a lock on my rhymes but cant keep a lock on my dimes
They fled from the sheppard but they said they had good times
They said i had good lines but was also a good guy
Now how does that add up it doesnt like subtraction
I was just the backup like Jermaine Jackson
They say im Mr.Right they say i cant see any wrong in you
You tell me that you wanna dude but you dont really want it boo
You say i never gave a shit take it up with my asshole
Im changing up the script baby this is your last role
No room for the bullshit take it somewhere else
Because im not gonna be another notch under ya belt

Drake Vs. J. Cole Vs. Kendrick Lamar (in my opinion)
Drake:
Everybody and they moms know who drake is or know one of his songs. He came into the game sort of like an outsider being that he’s from Ontario, Canada and that he was an actor on a famous Canadian drama series called DeGrassi. He’s very mainstream and commercial. He often leans toward more R&B and a little bit of Pop here and there. Drake raps about real shit unlike other artists who put out singles and make those one hit wonder categories. Drake has proved himself to be one of the most popular rap artist today, due to his catchy hooks, anti-misogynistic lyrics and clever punchlines. He’s had the opportunity to even work with some the greats such as Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, Bun B, Jay-Z, Kanye and others. He’s gotten so much push and attention because he signed to Young Money. Even though i don’t like that music label at all i don’t necessarily hate that smart business move. And his record sales are pretty impressive as well. But lyrically and music wise he’s makes a lot of sense and he spits about real things but in a very catchy and commercial way. He spits about real things but clouds it all with catchy hooks, raps about what the ladies would wanna hear from a unrealistic perfect guy and kind of realistically sugar coats everything for the mainstream.
J. Cole:
North Carolinas very own J. Cole. Right now is killing it with all these features and his debut album was fire. To me he is more real than Drake or at least speaks about more real life situations like Pac did. Cole in my opinion can be added to the list of Hip Hop Story Tellers. He can paint pictures and images in your head so vividly and anyone really can relate to his songs wether it be male or female, poor or rich. He never disappoints me really, and I’m tight that he didn’t get as much buzz or hype as he did in 2011. His label i can’t be mad at either, Roc Nation. That label has so much underground talent its not even funny and Jay-Z perhaps is one of the greatest mentors ever. Lyrically he comes up with sick lines, crazy concepts and on top of that he produces as well. His type of content just makes you sit back and reflect on your life and makes you realize what important.
Kendrick Lamar:
Kendrick “the new king of the west coast” hailing from Compton is definitely on the lookout this year. He hasn’t hit any commercial success like that but his underground and mixtape success is crazy. Out of the two i just finished babbling about, Lamar has the most flow no doubt about it. Whats different about him is that even though he’s grown up in a very notable bad area, he never let it get the best of him. He promotes straight up positivity and doesn’t rep any gang unlike most other WestCoast artists. Just like J. Cole he can make out of this world concepts for some of his tracks, and i have to mention again his flow is so ridiculous that Snoop, Dre and Game had to crown him the new king of the west as i previously stated. The similarities with all three is that most of their lyrics are real and actually have substance to it not just stupid party songs or what have you. So lyrically Kendrick has the best flow out of three, comes up with insane concepts and can rock with some of the most successful rappers. His content is the type that makes you think of things that you never even dared to think about almost on some philosophical ish accompanied with beats that set you adrift into another world.
